THE HIMALAYA
The Himalaya is a mountain range located in the centre of Asia and it comprise four countries: Bhutan, India, Nepal and China. It`s a mountain landscape. The Himalaya is the highest mountain range in the Earth with ten of the fourteen picks of more than 8000 meters of altitude. It has also the highest mountain in the world, the Everest with 8848 meters of altitude.
The Himalaya is located in the cold zone, and it´s a mountain landscape. The temperatures are very low. The precipitations are very heavies but in the mountains tops the precipitations are lower than in zones of less altitude, and that precipitations are in form of snow.
In the Himalaya born some important rives like: the river Ganges, the river Indo or the river Yangtsé. This rivers are very important because in their riverbeds live 1.300.000 of persons.
The vegetation of the Himalaya change with the type of climate, the precipitations or the ground. The tropical climate predominate at the base of the mountain but in higher altitude predominate the mountain climate. This variety of climate, precipitation and ground generate a lot of different plans and animals, like the wildcat of the Himalaya or the Yak.
