CARLOS DEL REAL PORTFOLIO

Well, this is my last post in this blog and I'm a bit sad because of it. But let's do the last self assessment. For me in this year I learnt a lot and I improved all my skills. I'm happy with my reading skills because I had a bit problems with its but now I think that I have improved those skills and that makes my feel happier and also proud of myself. And now let's talk about this blog. I think that the blogs are a very good way to do a portfolio, because you use technologies and also it's more interesting and easy, for me, than the normal portfolio. As that song says, "This is the end". I hope you like this blog and also thanks to all the people that contributed to make it possible. THANK YOU

Reply : to answer. Reveal:  to tell someone a piece of secret information. State : the condition that something or someone is in.

Bookmark : to mark a website on your computer so that you can find it easily. Launch : to begin an important activity. Appreciation : an understanding of how good something or someone is. Consideration :  careful thought and attention. Diplomacy : skill in dealing with people well and not upsetting them. Etiquette : the set of rules or customs that control accepted behaviour in particular socialgroups or social situations..' Netiquette : the set of rules about behaviour that is acceptable on the internet. Interation:  an occasion when two or more people or things communicate with or react to each other. Rank :  a position in society or in an organization, for example the king and the queen. Rudeness : behaving in a way that is not polite and upsets other people.

The second term is finishing and here I am to comment how it was for me this term. In general: quite good. I didn't obtain the best results but my notes aren't bad. I know that I have to keep working and improve my translation skills. But in general I'm happy with my results and also with my classmates (that are the best ones). Now it's time to relax a bit and then we will return with energy and we are going to make our best and obtain the best marks to pass to Bachillerato very calm about the notes, because in all the other things, well, maybe i will fell a bit worried. But only a bit.

Autos-da-fe: ceremony of burning people. Blade: sharp edge used for cutting. Choked: made difficult to breathe. Craved: had a strong desire. Crawled out: came out slowly. Damp: a bit wet. Open up : to start to talk more about yourself and your feelings. Slow down : to move slower, or to cause someone or something to move slower. Work out : to exercise in order to improve the strength or appearance of your body.

Bizarre: rare. Carefree: without any problems or worries. Chimes: ringing of a clock to mark the hour. Dare to: had the courage to do something. Decay: no longer fresh. Dizziness: a feeling of head turning round, and loss of balance. Pour: cause liquid to flow. Streaming:  light shinning strongly. Stained glass: different coloured pieces of glass making a pattern. Took hold of: took control of something or someone. Was held: took place.

High-tech:  using the most recent and advanced electronic machines, computers, and methods. Wireless: using a system of radio signals rather than wires to connect computers, mobile phones, etc. to each other. Boost:  to increase or improve something. Kinetic energy: energy that an object or system has because it is moving. Tile:  one of the flat, square pieces that are used for covering floors. Store:  to put something somewhere and not use it until you need it. Crash:  stops working. Process:  a series of actions that you take in order to do something.

This trimester was very productive for me because I learnt a lot of American culture, like for example the meaning of the Thanksgiving celebration, and also more vocabulary for me to talk better. I like very much the dynamic in class, I think it was very good and, like we are a very small group, we talk a lot and that also help us to express ourselves. Thanks to that, I'm not confused in anything and all the explanations are very clear. One of the parts that I have to improve is my translation, but I only need to practise it more. To summarise, this trimester was good for me and I hope that the next ones will be also great! Happy christmas  to everyone!!!!!

Fundación afim : this NGO offert help to people with physical or mental problems. They have organised some auctions and campaings to raise money for that people. AFA : This NGO tries to help people with Alzheimer's, a mental problem that degenerates your memory, sometimes, people do not remember their names or their family.

Land-back : relaxed and not seeming worried about anything. Gloomy : sad or without hope. Biased : opposition to someone or something because of your personal opinions. Bigoted : intolerant. For me this year was a very productive one. I learn a lot English but also some interesting and very important things for my future and also for general culture, like the geography's lessons. My marks, in the bilingual section but also in all of the subjects. are better than the last year and I this is because of my work but also because of all the work and patience that all the teachers, Cristina, Teresa and Alberto specifically, have with us. If I have to improve something maybe is the translation in the English exams, but in general I'm very happy with my results. I hope that the next year will be better.
